Small red kumara portions, a convenient option for a roast meal, addition to pies, breads or mash. They range in size roughly from 25 – 75g, heat-treated for stable refrigeration, before being free-flow frozen.
How to Cook:
Red kumara cooks differently to orange kumara. Orange tends to perform best cooked straight in the oven, while red benefits from a little extra time (or a quick par-boil) to get that ideal New Zealand kumara texture and flavour we know and love.
Steam cook until soft. Preheat oven to 190C. Brush with butter and place in preheated oven for 5 – 10 mins until slightly golden and crispy on the outside.
